Moline captures 4th OJBL title

1st team to go wire-to-wire for first title since 2017   

Crosstown takes 2nd for the 3rd time

Bayou City claims 4th for 6th First Four finish

The MOLINE LAWMEN wrapped up their 4th OJBL title becoming the first team in league history to run the table to notch their first title since 2017…they gained a half-point the final week while the CROSSTOWN RIVALS dropped a half-point to win by four points…the Rivals clinched 2nd place for the 3rd time to land in the First Four for the 10th time and third in the last four years…they finished the last 14 weeks in 2nd place and 21 weeks in the First Four…PANAMA CITY clinched 3rd place for the 2nd time to land in the First Four for the 10th time and first since 2016 when they were owned by the PT Punishers picking up a point the final week…the Canes spent the final 14 weeks in 3rd place and spent the entire season in the First Four

 

The BAYOU CITY BONES clinched the final spot in the First Four by picking up a half-point the final week to clinch the 4th place for the second straight week and 12th time in the First Four…it is the 2nd time the Bones have finished in 4th place and 6th time in the First Four including twice in the last three years…the STL DIRTBAGS added +1.5 points the final week to moved to within two points of the money after entering the final week three points back…the Dirtbags finished in 5th place moving into the First Four once in Week #24…SOUTHSHORE added a half-point to finish in 6th place -3.5 points out of the money landing in the First Four 4 times the last in Week #23…the BOILER BANGERS lost a half-point the final week to land in 7th place -6.5 points out of the First Four

SHOHEI OHTANI is the OJBL Position Player-of-the-year helping lead the Bayou City Bones to a Fourth Place finish…Ohtani led the league with 54 Home Runs and 130 RBIs and was second in the league with a .310 AVG and also second in Stolen Bases with 59

PANAMA CITY had 258 SB to set a new league record breaking the 247 by Crosstown in 1999

 

MOLINE became the first team to go wire-to-wire leading all 26 weeks

 

MOLINE recorded a 1.158 WHIP to move 9th place all-time

 

CROSSTOWN recorded a 1.164 WHIP to move 10th place all-time

 

SHOHEI OHTANI of Bayou City hit 54 HR for the 9th most all-time

 

ELLY ED LA CRUZ of Panama City had 67 SB for the 8th most all-time

 

RYAN HELSLEY of Crosstown had 49 SAVES for the 6th most all-time

CHRIS SALE of Men In The John is the OJBL Pitcher-of-the-Year by leading the league in WINS posting a 18-3 record…Sale led the league with a 1.28 ERA and was second in the league with a 1.103 WHIP
